Have you ever noticed those little round black spots on concrete? No. Well next time you visit you favorite coffee shop take a peek at the concrete before you step inside. I can almost guarantee you’ll see a couple little round black spots. You my friend just spotted a dirty sidewalk. I would immediately bring it to the managers attention. Be very upset about the cleanliness of there facility and threaten to never buy coffee from them again until they call Washmaster for a full service pressure washing! That my be a bit of a over reaction. Let’s all just take a deep breath. Okay. Now that we’re done making empty threats to the local coffee shop manager. Can you take a guess at what the little round black spots that are plaguing our city’s sidewalks are? If you chew on it for a minute I bet you can figure it out before I tell you. You might have even guessed it after the first sentence. That’s right! Bubble gum. If you start looking it’s everywhere. How much gum do we eat and not dispose of properly? Apparently billions and billions because that stuff is everywhere. I guess I shouldn’t complain it keeps me employed. Removing gum from concrete is actually pretty fun. You get to play the guess which flavor game. How in the world would you know the flavor of an old piece of gum on the sidewalk? Well an odd phenomenon happens when the hot steamy water hits that little round black spot. You can actually smell the flavor of the gum. Haha. Sometimes it’s very noticeable to. It’s only gross if you imagine the stranger that was last chewing on it. There’s just a little glimpse of the day to day of a pressure washer. Now you get to share my curse and spot the oodles and oodles of gum. It’s everywhere people! Everywhere.
